Russian Alphabet (Русский Алфавит) Country code: blank.gif, country type: blank, valid: 99672

In my version I order it
АБЧДЕФГХИЖКЛМНОП РСТУВ ЙЗЭЁЮЯЫЦШЩЬЪ

I group vowels & consonants as
(АЭИОУ ЕЁЮЯЫ) (ЛМНРЙ ПБ ТД ШЖ КГ ФВ СЗ Ч Х Ц Щ) (ЬЪ)
33=(5+5)+(5+14+2)+(2)
=(5 + 5 doubles) vowels + (5 + 14 duals + 2 doubles) consonants + (2) symbols

Й is like the semi-vowel limit of Иии...
Russian's missing 'ng' & 'th'.
For English I get
(AEIOU) (LMNRWY PB TD KG ČJ FV SZ H Q X)
26=(5)+(6+13+2)=(5) vowels + (6 + 13 duals + 2 doubles) consonants

I'm in NZ. Google translates "Kiwi"→"Киви", but I think it should be "Киуи". Maybe a "Киуи" becomes a "Киви" when they travel to Europe? 🤔

Not a spambot 99673

File: 1709736151637.png (152.87 KB, 1630x470, RUSSIAN ALPHABET .PNG)

I got Э & Е the wrong way around. Also I've included subsets of vowels & consonants.

The 5 extra vowels are unofficially
Е=Ie Ё=Io Ы=Iy Ю=Iu Я=Ia
But officially they put 'Y' instead of 'I', etc.

What is the purpose of this thread, and why have you only made threads and not contributed and meaningful to any other threads? It does seem rather suspicious. The only other post on this IP appears to be a thread rambling about your mpv scripts (that no one posted in before it was deleted or fell off the board). Did you make a reply to get past the filter and then delete it after you make the thread?

Alphabet thread needed 99675

Here's a version with the old Soviet flag, from this GETchan video:
10 Hours of Soviet Communist Music

That's my fav video on all of YouTube. I listen to it every day.

The purpose of this thread was to collaboratively develop a Russian alphabet, for an English audience. Ultimately the best version is like trial & error.

Ppl might need mpv-scripts to see the 10 hrs of communist music, because it can randomize the music & display live spectrum - & does so freely & easily. Thread was never filtered.

I haven't seen any other threads to contribute to. That's also more difficult. Maybe I should post a GIF of a dead Ukrainian hanging over a power line, like a tied pair of shoes. An alphabet looks better... 🙂

Too much italics 99676

The flag version maybe should be shrunk more. 🤔
Spelling out the Russian alphabet isn't spam.

E→E (not Ye) 99677

File: 1709917045236.png (142.92 KB, 1458x972, RUSSIAN ALPHABET 12.PNG)

Here's a Russian flag version.
ЙЗ YZ yeazy 🙂
Paradoxically both Э & E are E, but they can't be switched around.

Gold alphabet   99688

This one includes W & Q. The tricolor version's here: https://i.imgur.com/xn6LBfP.png
The idea was to keep the order the same as English, for ppl outside Russia who don't want to memorize a new order.

Beveled gold & Ĵ   99804

GIMP can bevel gold font (Decor filter). 🙂
Ĵ is Esperanto for Ж. I've improved the clarifications line.

Admittedly, this thread is low quality, but it is actually a good idea to have a thread that encourages anons to learn Russian ( for Spanish and Arabic too).

20 equalities over 3 lines + a couple lines of Greek. I have examples for every equality.
