This is a thread to discuss the recent happenings in the Ukraine.

so, what do you think is the plan?
straight to kiev?
only securing of the peoples republics with potential further movement to kiev later if they don't back off?
creation of novorussia on the entire south up to odessa?

>only securing of the peoples republics with potential further movement to kiev later if they don't back off?
Pretty much this. Putin is merely cementing what has been the status quo for eight years, much like Russia did with South Ossetia and Abkhazia in 2008.
>straight to kiev?
Pure Atlanticist fantasy. Remember that Medvedev didn't regime change Georgia despite Georgia being orders of magnitude weaker than the Ukraine.

Putin's speech on the Donbass:

“What Would Russian Recognition of Separatist Territories in Ukraine Mean?”
https://newcoldwar.org/what-would-russian-recognition-of-separatist-territories-in-ukraine-mean/
>Interestingly, a writer at openDemocracy noticed that last week, the Russian parliament gave Putin the green light to recognize Ukraine’s breakaway areas of Donbass and Luhansk. Despite that development, and the West supposedly having clever Russia experts, I don’t see any evidence that our military-intel apparatus or our Russia watchers gamed out this possibility.
Ukraine shrinks again

putin is a cunt but zelenski is an america bootlicking cunt
plus they outlawed the communists and have literally nazi military units
there was 8 years of murder, nobody gave a shit because "russia bad"
they are literally denying nazi crimes of the past 8 years
now the libs act all hurt because murder is only bad when "real people" like ukrainian allies die
not like putin gives a fuck about the people there, 8 fucking years of waiting should tell you what he thinks of them, he just wants to get NATO off his ass
that's at least my take

Anonymous Comrade 55671

>>55637
War unjustifed? Maybe--depends on if you see threat of NATO encirclement or Nazis integrated in the armed forces as a justification for proactive invasion

Moral justifications aside, what we probably do agree on is that for the last few years Ukraine's politics since 2014 and the NATO brinkmanship with the possibility of bringing Ukraine into NATO made it a more and more rational decision for Putin to do something instead of just letting them set up political and military forces.

Whether it was a good idea or not to declare war is still up in the air. I didn't actually expect a full-scale offense and admittedly I'm a bit surprised that Putin's administration just went for it. Maybe it was the sanctions, maybe it was the realization that you can't bargain with NATO.

Anonymous Comrade 55672

>>55665
Is this a net negative all around? I mean, it was still Russia who started this, it doesn't look good for anyone to even be on the side of "I told you", anything but criticism towards Russia will be interpreted as "imperialism good when Russia and China do it"

My entire family is pretty clueless about it, I'm from México so if burgers, or in your case, first world Europeans don't fully grasp the situation then here it's pretty easy to portray things in whatever way they want.

Anonymous Comrade 55689

>>55672
Sort of, but in Russia's position, it's always going to be "that guy". No one is ever going to trust whatever they say, such as things like there being a genocide in the Donbass region. Using the media and showing certain kinds of news and hiding less convenient ones, anything that Russia does or doesn't do is going to look bad. So Russia can't really try to look like a benevolent actor--just gotta accept that they'll be the villain in a west-dominated media and zeitgeist.

The only one to get something like praise by the media is Gorbachev, and that's more or less because he waltzed right into the dissolution of a superpower and communist movements worldwide (while the media glossed over the serious wave of economic horror that ensued over the Yeltsin years.) Assuming that Putin is at least rational enough to know his own country's history, he's probably figured a while ago that what the media wants from you is your complete and utter submission. If you're not going to let that happen, then you're not going to play their game of justifications and politeness for very long.

That's why I think this war might have partly been desperate. Let Ukraine go into NATO, Russia's fucked. So once it got clear that neither Ukraine nor NATO were gonna budge, I guess Putin decided to drop the pretenses and get tactical. War is the continuation of politics by other means.

1/2 Anonymous Comrade  55694

>>55637
wellp, back in 2014 the ukranians revolted against their goberment (wich, as far as I know, was basically a russian-alied russian style "democracy") and parts of those who revolted were extremely right-wing.
At that time, Putin used that as justification to invade Crimea, wich as polls showed was prety favorable to joining russia. And then started funding armed groups on the donbass region that basically supported joining russia too.
Since the Ukranian army was basically non-existent they started arming paramilitary organisations to try and stop those independentist armed groups. And of course here is where the nazi batalion was created, and where the classic picture that has already been posted here was taken.
Ukraine now, organised some elections (with the communist parties banned, of course) and the current president as far as I know is a liberal jew and the neo-nazi parties have one (1) seat in parlament.

So, in a way here I support the parts of Ukraine that want to join russia, and I understand that in no way Ukraine would allow them to do this without the support of russia. And at the same time I understand that russia doesn't do this out of the kidness of their heart but rather out of geopolitical interest.

2/2 Anonymous Comrade  55695

>>55694
Of course, on the other sense this invasion is completely unjustified, their two justifications (Nazis and NATO) are completely retarded. Ukraine hasn't got a nazi on charge, and nazis have no political power. And ukraine has no incentive to stop that nazi battalion since they are, as proven in the recent days, in great need of soldiers willing to fight against russia. Why would they, then, get rid of soldiers who have 1.experience in combat and 2.shit ton of morale to fight against russians?
And same with NATO, during these last years NATO has had no real reason to exist. the EU hasn't got a problem with China (militarly). Russia is, ironically just justifying their own existance. I mean thanks to these actions now Sweden and Finland, who were strongly against joining NATO, now want to join. And the only reason Ukraine wanted to join is because fucking Russia invaded their regions

I wouldn't wonder if some 50 Blessings sorta organization straight outta Hotline Miami is gonna be formed to hunt down 'traitors' or the Asiatic horde 5th columnists. Everyone's gone absolutely batshit. If you oppose wars you're a Ruskie. If you support class war you're a Ruskie. If you refuse to take a side you're a Ruskie. If you point out the overrepresentation of this war in media as opposed to the multiple more American invasions (termed 'interventions' as opposed to Russo-Ukrainian being an 'invasion), you're a Ruskie. You're not allowed to have your own opinions in wartime. I hate it here. >The idea that each “way of life” has its own truth is what endears Putin to right-wing populists like former US President Donald Trump, who praised Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as the act of a “genius.” And the feeling is mutual: When Putin talks about “denazification” in Ukraine, we should bear in mind his support for Marine le Pen’s National Rally in France, Matteo Salvini’s Lega in Italy, and other actual neo-fascist movements.

>The “Russian truth” is only a convenient myth to justify Putin’s imperial vision, and the best way for Europe to counter it is to build bridges to developing and emerging countries, many of which have a long list of justified grievances against Western colonization and exploitation. It’s not enough to “defend Europe.” The true task is to persuade other countries that the West can offer them better choices than Russia or China can. And the only way to achieve that is to change ourselves by ruthlessly uprooting neo-colonialism, even when it comes packaged as humanitarian help.

At the same time, public opinion in Western countries is totally alienated from the Ukrainian reality, tending to believe only what is reported by the hegemonic media. The result of this is strong disapproval of the Russian attitude based on the lie that there is no trace of Nazism in contemporary Ukraine.

>The arrival of the Russian army in Ukraine has brought to light the presence of US biological laboratories and rather burning documents. This is overwhelming evidence that confirms what has been suspected for some time, despite Washington’s clumsy denials.
https://workers.today/war-fueled-racism-and-xenophobia-rising-80-years-after-internment/
>It is not enough to condemn this racist violence. It is the responsibility of workers in the United States to strike back at the source of it all: U.S. imperialism. The capitalist ruling class feels truly threatened by the massive success and growing power of the socialist project being carried out by the Chinese working class, particularly their comparative success in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Whipping up racist and xenophobic fervor against Asian people in general and Chinese people in particular has shown to be the first step toward bloody conflict.

>Workers must likewise keep our ear to the ground and not ignore the seismic tremors of the war drums currently beating. In 2018, the Wall Street Journal published an essay entitled “Russia’s turn to its Asian past,” complete with a caricature depicting President Vladimir Putin dressed in the armor of Genghis Khan charging toward the reader. Two videos from the Grayzone:
Congress screws workers to escalate war on Russia
>As gas prices and inflation surge, Max Blumenthal questions members of Congress on the economic toll American workers face from escalating sanctions on Russia, and on their support for escalating the war in Ukraine.
Why Rep. Thomas Massie stood against "stand with Ukraine" resolution
>Max Blumenthal asks libertarian Rep. Thomas Massie why he joined only two other members of Congress in voting against a resolution declaring that “the United States stands fervently with the Ukrainian people,” and urging open-ended military aid to Kiev in its fight against Russia.
An older article that talks about Ukrainian historial revisionism:
https://archive.ph/0tIHZ
>When it comes to politics and history, an accurate memory can be a dangerous thing.
>In Ukraine, as the country struggles with its identity, that’s doubly true. While Ukrainian political parties try to push the country toward Europe or Russia, a young, rising Ukrainian historian named Volodymyr Viatrovych has placed himself at the center of that fight. Advocating a nationalist, revisionist history that glorifies the country’s move to independence — and purges bloody and opportunistic chapters — Viatrovych has attempted to redraft the country’s modern history to whitewash Ukrainian nationalist groups’ involvement in the Holocaust and mass ethnic cleansing of Poles during World War II. And right now, he’s winning.

>Russia’s military action in Ukraine has been going on for more than a month, and there appears to be little hope of a solution any time soon. Meanwhile, Russian troops have moved deeper into Ukraine and Ukraine reports counter-offensives and the Russian army is using the tactics of encirclement and blockade of large cities. The Ukrainian army, which has lost almost all its aviation, does not release civilians from these cities, since without a human shield it could become an easy target. Civilians have to fight their way out, negotiating minefields en route and many have been killed while trying to leave the cities. In this exclusive piece for the New Cold War website, our Ukraine expert Dmitriy Kovalevich details events in and about Ukraine up to and including March 29, 2022.

thanks
one more thing about those twitter posts, the second one making the demonstrated false claim of "russians left 2. april" is referencing the liveuamap which looks like ukrainian fed propaganda outlet

this seems like blatant ukrainian cover up for one of their nationalist battalions

music: Ленинград — Входа нет!
An old friend called me from abroad,
He's been living that for ten years.
Hello! - he says, - such a fuck is going on,
A fairy tale, and the further - the more terrible.
We will be taught this discipline
And no one will be spared.
Yes, Russian as a Jew is now in Berlin
In 1940.

The doctor, however, has an inscription in his office:
"No entry for Russians and dogs!"

I scream in horror: “Scoundrels!
They introduce a little bit of genocide."
I scream in horror: “Scoundrels!
They introduce a little bit of genocide."

Fuck you! they say at work
If you're not happy, bitch - shut your mouth!
Are you for the regime or strongly against it?
Yes, don't give a shit to everyone - you're just low grade!
Yes, our brains are of the same firmware,
We came out from under the same patterns,
Maybe everyone will hang stripes for us,
To distinguish from afar.

Do not be silent!

To burn us all in the oven!

West: We will impose sanctions and increase pressure until Russia changes its behavior.
Russians: Hooray, sanctions!
West (bewildered): We will also impose personal sanctions against prominent Russian politicians...
Russians: Hurrah! More sanctions!
West (stunned): ... And we will impose sanctions against the main political party, United Russia ...
Russians (with enthusiasm): Oh yes! We propose to expand the sanctions, here is a list of those whom you forgot to mention!
West: Are you masochists?
Russians: no, you are masochists, the more sanctions you impose, the more you suffer yourself. And we don’t give a fuck, but it’s very funny to watch how the fuckers, who have been stealing the country for 30 years and hiding the loot in your offshores, twitch and suffer.

A picture of the "Massacre in Bucha of March 19" was taken on April 1

Thanks to the help of our team of OSINT and GEOINT specialists, we were able to accurately determine the time of the survey.

▪️The image from the NYT discovery dated March 19 shows sand alluvium after a downpour that went from the 31st to the first.

▪️ The above comparison from NYT is based on two measurements, on the shadow comparison identity. We compared the dates March 19 and February 28. In fact, they compared February 28 and April 1 - the conditional time and the position of the shadows. Original meter readings by age.

▪️ Information is available on the Maxar website about which satellites were shooting in the region. Accounting for the last period. A total of three satellites were involved.

▪️ After checking the angle of the Sun above the horizon, the SunCalc program managed to get the path to the source of the exact time of the picture and the direction of the shadows.

▪️ The picture was taken on April 1 at 11:57 GMT (14:57 local daylight saving time).

Well, I'll tell you what I've read. Marx (the main theory of revolution in industrialized countries), Lenin (went against Marx's theory, believing that it was possible to make a revolution in an agrarian country, and, characteristically, he did), Stalin (did the same as Marx did in relation to pre-revolutionary Russia, plus added the history of the revolution, and also showed how to conduct industrialization and foreign policy), Trotsky (did the same as Stalin, but said that if you continue in the same spirit, the USSR will collapse in twenty years. Stalin also read this and shot everyone who could destroy the USSR in 1937. He did not have time to repeat this again in 1953, and the USSR collapsed for reasons named by Trotsky in 1991-1993), Shepilov (the history of the economy of the USSR, which he did), and this is from the Soviet side. From China - the history of the Xinhan Revolution, through the ideas of Sun Yatsen (who offered about the same as Ataturk, but earlier, and in the Chinese way) to the ideas of Li Dazhao (who explained why what Lenin did in Russia cannot be done in China) , and finally to Mao Zedong (who explained that just as Lenin adapted Marx's theory to agrarian Russia, he personally adapted the theory to the conditions of China. This despite the fact that he read Marx only in the 50s, but what he really did - he showed it that a revolution in China is possible, and indicated good tactics for a peasant guerrilla war, and he was also smart enough to survive in conditions when everyone stuck a knife in each other's back). Otto Brown - a look from the outside at what Comrade Mao was doing while he was sitting in Yan'an.

Well, and other figures who basically developed the theory in practice, and who succeeded - for example, Fidel Castro.

I read a lot. Because in order to understand what Marx wrote, one must also understand what Kant, Hegel and others wrote. In the conditions of our time, much of what they wrote about is no longer relevant, primarily due to the development of high technologies, but here's what definitely shouldn't be in theory - it's "tolerance", "political correctness" and other plagues of the twenty-first century. And what should be is political extremism, class war and the elimination of private ownership of the means of production. which is absent in any of the supposedly "leftist" programs.

about the terrorist attack in Kramatorsk:
1) the line between the explosion and the fallen booster points to the southwest, where there are neither Russian nor Donetsk troops.
2) Western journalists managed to photograph the serial numbers on the "Tochka-U" booster, they are from the same batch as those used to shell Donetsk.
The conclusion is unequivocal - the Ukrainian military deliberately fired on a civilian object and tried to pass it off as an attack by the Russian military. And they did it so stupidly that even the Europeans did not believe in it.

14 year old girl hit by Russian missile in Uman,Ukraine, killing her.Footage of aftermath of attack. - that video.

On February 24, at 9:00 a.m., when this video was posted, Russia was shelling military targets with heavy rockets. Does it look like a heavy rocket explosion? No. Further, if you look at the map, Uman, where all this allegedly happened, is located beyond the Dnieper, that is, nothing from what was shot in the front line of Donbass could not get there. The news from that day mentioned a shell, not a rocket (let me remind you: Russian artillery could not reach Uman). The crater in the middle of the street looks like a mortar hit. And mortars are the "calling card" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I was not able to get confirmation of the veracity of the information from the residents of Uman, so with a high degree of probability this is an anti-Russian fake.

I also couldn't find the name of the alleged victim or the address of the hit. Only speculation on the topic "what a horror." 100% fake

by the way, reddit is the main source of fake news, just say something constructive and you will be downvoted.

UPD: comment: "It was not a girl who got killed in that video. It was a 39 years old male who was riding his bike near the city cinema theater. Not sure why it was decided to use such fake title on this video. It was not a girl and not 14 years of age. It was a male who was born 1982. Still the tragedy, but because of such fake claim title, this video gained over 1 million views."

I don't know what kind of answer you expect, I can tell you people don't really have a lot of trust in the government, both right and left leaning people, those who do are seen as delusional. My grandfather did work in the US to provide for his family for almost his entire life. I've heard a couple of people in my life every now and then talk about the submissive nature of people in here, like a teacher telling me a story about how workers in other countries are more likely to tell their superiors about how they would like things to be, and how only when secretly recorded Mexican workers voice their opinions, but when they talk to their superiors in person they don't say anything at all. I think some stories are spiced up to make a point, but I'm willing to believe people here don't see the any hope in trying to change things for the better.

We have so much more celebrities that get voted into power in here that it makes Trump seem like a mild novelty, most people would tell you the cartels 100% own the government or are deeply involved in every move the government makes, a couple of years ago it was common to see hanged corpses from bridges in my city. I don't know if I would describe my country as a "failed state" as many people that don't live in here have told me, I actually don't keep up with local politics as much as I probably should, but I don't think we are doing okay at all.

Anonymous Comrade  58559

>>58556
I have been reading Getchan for a long time (several years), but somehow I didn’t really have a desire to post anything.

I think the problem in Mexico is the "learned helplessness" of the people. Lack of normal work, beggarly wages, fear of massacres. This happens because the working class does not know the nature of the economy of its country and therefore cannot influence it.

Anonymous Comrade  58560

>>58556
as in the case of Russia in the 90s, in Mexico there was a cult of the success of the criminals. This is an economic phenomenon: when people do not have a job and they cannot live with dignity, they are ready for anything - work at McDonald's in the USA, work for cartels in Mexico - depends on the ability. Economic reforms and a strong government could solve this problem in a matter of years, but! Mexico doesn't have a strong enough government to do this because a rich Mexico is not beneficial to the US. Therefore, the Mexican people need to remember the culture of the revolution, and using guerrilla tactics to fight the cartels on their own (which, by the way, many do without political goals). And the people cannot do this, because their goal is satiety, not pride. choosing between "plata o plomo", they will choose silver, because silver is a triumph over hunger. Originating from the realm of hunger, they fear it most of all. But also, they are afraid of death, and therefore respect courage. Therefore, a guerrilla movement that despises silver and death is able to win the hearts of people, and through this, oust the cult of crime from culture, and then make it despicable, and then destroy it.

Anonymous Comrade  58561

>>58556

and all this is aimed at educating worthy people who can declare themselves as a political subject. That is, they will take power in the country into their own hands - and then they will carry out economic reforms that the United States will not like very much. But now is just the moment when US hegemony rests on snot. A good time to stab her in the back and free not only Mexico but all of Central America from the power of the dollar.

Thank you for the read, what country are you from?

I don't really have a lot to say, the guerrilla groups you refer to are EZLN, yes? I've read a bit about them, they seem like a positive force more often than not. Only at the end of last year did I learn of a massacre that the government was involved in of a group that supported the EZLN https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acteal_massacre

Anonymous Comrade  58566

>>58565

no, I don't think EZLN is significant. I also feel disgust for all the "non-violent resistance" fans. They live in a world of violence, and without violence they will achieve nothing. History has many examples of this.

The Zapatistas made a whole mountain of critical mistakes. First, they decided to follow the path of libertarian socialism. It's some unknown fucking bullshit, but that's not the point. Secondly, "by spreading ideas and attracting the attention of the public," they stooped to kowtow to LGBT people. Thirdly, they defend the interests of a narrow category of the population, mainly national minorities and peasants. All this together is a reliance on minorities, and not on the masses, political camwhoring on the Internet and extremely murky principles that smack of a mixture of anarchism and libertarianism. Have you read their program? I was reading and I wanted to puke and laugh at the same time.

their program is a natural racket. Other revolutionary movements stepped on the same rake at one time, only they wanted to "impose a revolutionary tax" on drug dealers, and these want to do the same with mega-corporations. As if someone would let them. And as if they will not be reborn into lackeys of capital, like others into drug cartels.
This post was edited by its author on .

Anonymous Comrade  58567

>>58565
no, what really should be done is to declare the rejection of the national, gender, or other principle of unification. Because the war that is going on in the world is a class war. As a result, only those who will defend the interests of ALL people, no matter what nationality, gender or occupation, have a chance to win over the masses, for the most part oppressed by capital.

and in order to fight against capitalism and its offspring, it is necessary not to beg for donations, not to engage in "revolutionary taxation", and not to look for money, because money corrupts. You need to focus your efforts on two things: education and the means of production. These two things will allow workers to create for themselves what others buy. In addition, it allows you to create a culture of work. And this is what should distinguish anti-capitalist revolutionaries from various political riff-raff.
This post was edited by its author on .

Anonymous Comrade  58568

>>58565
Because the strength of the worker and peasant lies in the fact that he can independently produce tools of labor and means of subsistence. When they take up arms, they defend what they have created, and therefore are better motivated than their opponents who fight for money. In addition, there is also the principle of collectivism - any damage that the enemy inflicts on manpower also reduces production forces, this forces them to unite and protect each other, otherwise it will be impossible to create enough goods for the prosperity of ALL people, and in this case, those who want to will inevitably win so that the benefits are not social, but private. That is why capitalist propaganda tries to divide the working people, make them compete with each other, starve and suffer, while at the same time instilling the ideals of selfishness and consumerism.

and to answer your question, I'm from the Soviet Union. We have learned from our own experience how the degeneration of the elites takes place and the counter-revolution temporarily triumphs. But we have preserved the Soviet culture of internationalism, fraternal assistance and traditions of the union of workers and peasants. We have saved the main thing - people. With them, we can return our land.

And now, in an era of change, when the hegemony of the dollar is shaken, it's time to strike her from the grave, because they think they defeated us, that we were exterminated by hunger and police punishers. These scum will still see the rise of communism - all over the Earth.

I'm not the same anon you're replying to, but I'm Mexican too. Hi. I just want to give some more context on the Mexican condition.

While I agree with you that we need a proper Marxist-Leninist armed revolutionary vanguard right now, you must know that this was already attempted many, many times throughout the 20th century; there was a lot of Communist radicalization in universities, rural areas, urban slums, but due to the CIA's influence in the Mexican government, all of these guerilla groups were infiltrated, busted, tortured, and either jailed, massacred or disappeared. This was known as the Mexican Dirty War. The official Communist Party turned revisionist and eventually social democratic in the 80s before being dissolved in the 90s. Nowadays there are no big Marxist or radical groups in universities (unless you count woke libs), instead there's pro-bourgeois propaganda everywhere. Communism has become a taboo concept to discuss and everyone repeats the same meme when the topic arises: "it doesn't work in reality". The right has gone full red scare and accuses mild social-democrats of being evil commies. The contemporary Communist parties here don't participate in elections because they would be required to hand out membership lists with full personal information of every militant, and their agitprop teams are very small. As a result of the Dirty War, many proletarian fronts turned to reformism, and the state appeased them with the bare minimum.

Anonymous Comrade 58769

>>58567

The other anon here said that the cartels 100% own the government, but the reality is more dialectical. It's more of a symbiotic relationship between them: the government and the bourgeoisie need dirty work done, they ask the cartels, the cartels need money laundering, you know who they ask. Also these criminal groups were funded by US intelligence in their beginnings, and then protected through the US puppet Mexican state (ever since Ávila Camacho up until Peña Nieto this has been a comprador regime). So who really owns the government? You know who.

The EZLN is an offspring of the one surviving cell of one ML guerilla group from the 70s that got busted and massacred, they went into hiding for over a decade, rebuilt their army in secret, but due to the dismantlement of the socialist camp in 1991, they went full postmodernist with their ideology. The capitalist state and the cartels still hate them and want them gone, though.

Anonymous Comrade 58770

>>58567

I agree with you that we need a lot of radicalization and class awareness, which we have had in the past, but it's not easy, especially right now when we have a very popular center-left president. Everyone here hates the cartels, but these are very effective terrorist groups, whose top brass was trained in the School of the Americas precisely for these techniques. They inspire a lot of fear in the general population and to top it off the police is on their side most of the time. Then, the people most lured by them are the poorest of young proletarians who have no basic studies, often live in places without public schools or without teachers, surrounded by drugs and drug dealers who live in opulence. Try organizing and radicalizing those communities, it's not easy. Guns are very hard to get legally here, and if you get one illegally, you're buying it from the very same bad guys. With a monopoly on violence who'll dare to step up to them? That's why I support the EZLN critically, they are the only ones with the balls to confront the cartels and defend their lands.

I'm not saying we're hopeless, there is a fuckton of revolutionary potential here, half of the country lives in poverty, but organizing won't be easy. The bourgeoisie and their goons are in full alert.

Anonymous Comrade  58781

>>58768
that's what I'm talking about. They think they have won, and that is their weakness.

I - maybe not as well as you - know about the situation in Mexico and the history of Mexico, and I see the same problems there as in Russia. Merging of criminals and the government, comprador policy ("Putin is building the Denikin-Chiang Kai-shek state of the model"), strict weapons legislation, a bloated apparatus for suppressing popular uprisings, and so on.

When people have a lot in common, they should unite and help each other. Over the past hundred years, considerable experience has been accumulated on how to win, it is difficult, but possible. To win by playing according to bourgeois rules and laws is impossible.

There's a lot we can do about all of this, but I don't think those things can be discussed here.

>That's why I support the EZLN critically, they are the only ones with the balls to confront the cartels and defend their lands.

they have already lost. Do you know why they are not touched, although they could? Because they have become harmless to the bourgeoisie. They play in the media, become fashionable, and castrate themselves step by step. Their economic demands are absurd, their political program is idiotic, they are just another "fashion revolutionaries", a brand.

In the city of Liman, Kramatorsk district, Ukrainian militants captured 837 civilians and tortured them. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

As explained in the military department, Ukrainian nationalists suspect the captured residents of pro-Russian sentiments. It is known about the extremely hostile attitude of Ukrainian nationalists towards the civilian population of Kramatorsk and the surrounding settlements, as they suspect them of sympathy for Russia and the republics of Donbass.

Anonymous Comrade  58790

Then, during the Cold War, it was impossible to win, because that was the international situation. There were two powerful countries that divided the world into zones of influence, and fought each other in proxy wars. The mobilization economy is the cornerstone of the power of the United States. It exists only in conditions of threat, for this reason, American politicians constantly scare everyone, either with the red threat, or with the threat of terrorism, or with something else.
now the situation is different - years of satiety and security have corrupted and ruined American society. They have already lost what they fought for - their "way of life". As expected, forces are immediately formed against the weakening empire, seeking to free themselves from the leash. The dollar has already been hit. Today, the Guevarist slogan, to arrange many Vietnams around the world, has a chance to become feasible.

Of course. And poverty will only get worse because what social democracy can do here is very limited, I mean, we have a huge land border with the US. I've thought about it and the best case scenario is to support the "harm reduction" of the reformist left, if anything because it might keep us away from fascism, which would be hell given the material circumstances here, until the imperial core crumbles down. Starting a proletarian revolution before that would be a tall order, but not impossible.

Anonymous Comrade  58956

>>58915
I do not think so.
a beggar man is a revolutionary man. But like a barrel of very poor explosives, it's useless without a detonator. Usually propaganda is used as a detonator: one has only to explain to a person why he is poor, and who needs to be put on a pitchfork to fix it, and the barrel will explode. As we discussed above, the possibilities for propaganda are extremely limited, and most likely will not lead to the desired effect. In addition, the mob with pitchforks has a disgusting manner of killing everyone in a row, and let the Lord figure out who is whose. That is, you can’t just throw a match and hope that society will explode.
That is why the vanguard of the revolution is needed. And in order for it to be, political radicalism is necessary.

Now about the Russian Federation. This is not a "capitalist state", as the leftist thinks, but a neo-feudal one, and here's why: the rental nature of the economy, the appointed "nobles" who are allowed what is not allowed to anyone, in particular - "privatization of profits and socialization of losses", completely controlled and a corrupt court always takes the side of not those who have more money (as they do under capitalism), but those who are "handshakes" with those close to the presidential administration. Let's add here the frankly vassal relations of the subjects of the Federation ... It is not surprising that the monarchists admire Putin.

One lesson in particular stands out: the true victors in 1914, that is the Bolsheviks, came out on the side of history because although they entered the war as a tiny group, they understood what was going on – and as a result created the world’s first workers’ republic. However, even within that framework, the events leading to the Ukraine war represent a new qualitative step in this U.S. military policy. Before the Ukraine war, the U.S. carried out military confrontations only against developing countries which had far weaker armed forces than the U.S. and which did not possess nuclear weapons.

>In recent years, U.S. and European accusations against Russia of destructive actions aimed at the collapse of the “rules-based world order” have become commonplace. But Moscow has never spent resources on destruction. More than two decades ago, it chose the strategy of simply building something new, and doing so as far as possible without conflicting with the established world system. As the decline of the old began to gain momentum, the influence and strength of new structures and processes began to grow. The ‘BRICS’ assemblage of countries, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Collective Security Treaty Organization [consisting of many of the countries of the former Soviet Union] and other organizations initiated by Russia were objects of ridicule for years, until it turned out that exactly the same thing happened to them as to the amusing, toy regiments of the young Peter the Great, namely, they became a truly working and impressive force.

>Turkey continues to be the centre of diplomatic activity on resolving the Ukraine war. It is therefore particularly revealing, and a sign of Western priorities, that I did not come across a single western journalist there trying to follow and cover the diplomatic process. The misadventures of the Ukrainian army with Western weapons do not end. In continuation of The New York Times article published last week about the poor sergeant Pysanka and his problems with translating instructions for complex foreign weapons through Google translator, the publication released the following article about the troubles of Ukrainians at the front. It turned out that even with the only weapon with which the Armed Forces of Ukraine are undeniably overwhelmed so much that they literally churn it out for Russian and allied troops - "javelins" sung in laudatory odes - and Nenka's thugs have tangible problems with them. Okay, what's the use of them against long-range artillery a little less than none. It turns out that the supplied anti-tank systems also require the appropriate service! Yes, imagine, to use these magical missile systems, you need very special batteries, and even argon coolant, which almost never reach the front line. Without all this "javelin" like Cinderella, in a maximum of four hours, it turns into a useless, 23-kilogram piece of metal for half a ton of cartoon dollars.

Slightly Mountain Impaired  62147

>>62146
But even in those rare cases when weapons reach the VFU with all their components, Ukrainians again run into the rake voiced earlier - a 258-page instruction in English, which, alas, future candidates for the EU as a rule do not know. And even the phone of the javelin technical support service (yes, yes, there is such a thing, this is not a joke), on which the US military regularly consults on the use of this equipment, the Americans did not leave for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They were also deprived of two basic software packages recommended to soldiers when training and using weapons of this type. As a result, the version is once again confirmed that there is no more altruism in helping the United States Nezalizhnaya than a huckster who shakes off expired stew for fabulous money. In this context, today's statements by the head of the Pentagon that it is absolutely impossible to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine sound especially cynical. Such is the Western help.
with friends like these, who needs enemies?

>War is inherently horrible. The current phase of the war in Ukraine has cost tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers—largely young men in the prime of life—their lives, and the toll on the Russian side will not be low, either. The prior civil war, which has gone on since 2014, has likewise been a horrific tragedy. And despite Russian efforts to minimize civilian casualties—which even Western sources such as Newsweek have acknowledged—many Ukrainian civilians have died, too.

you can call germany, or russia, shit without going out of your way to sound like someone short on oxygen

but it's actually worse
this is generalplan ost of atomizing other people to push a narrative of subjogation for your anglo lords, but dressed up as neoliberalism celebrating ultra nationalists as some kind of anti colonial freedom fighters, beyond deranged
it ties up neatly with the following mask off post:

>For the US, the lethal business of war is an immensely profitable business. The country saw massive increases in its GNP during the latter years of WWII and eight months into the Russia-Ukraine conflict it is clear that history is repeating itself, while Europe suffers. The US is also reaping the benefits of its pressure on Europe to stop energy inflows from Russia, so that they have to buy energy resources from the United States at a high price. Likewise, commodity prices are surging; inflation is galloping; debt servicing becomes unbearably expensive; capital flight is bringing vulnerable countries to the brink of economic disaster. >The imperialist media’s big secret at the moment is that Washington is exhausting its arms supply for Ukraine. With a global series of occupations to maintain, and a military-industrial complex that prioritizes profits over outcome, the U.S. can no longer keep sending optimal or sufficiently numerous equipment. It’s having to tap into its lower-quality spare materials, send humvees in place of tanks or actual military trucks, and ship inadequate amounts of guns and rounds. The deindustrialization of Europe that the war has accelerated represents another obstacle in NATO’s project to keep Ukraine sufficiently armed. >Marxist economist Michael Roberts worked in the City of London (the British Wall Street) as an economist for over 40 years. Why "We" fight:
https://archive.ph/JB5sx
>Ukraine relaunches privatization: future belongs to the brave
>Since 1991, the Ukrainian economy has remarkably transformed from its Soviet model to a modern and free market one. Still, thousands of enterprises remain in state and municipal ownership. The Government is interested in handing over publicly owned assets to effective private owners for future investment and development.
>Today there are around 3,300 state-owned enterprises and one million real estate objects. The number of municipally owned facilities is even larger. Most of those assets are eligible for privatization, i.e. buy-out from the public domain to private investors.

Like what would happen if /pol/ took over a country. A victory for the Ukraine is a victory for the far-right. The problem is that North Americans can be a hawkish as they want on the war because they will not be the ones who have to pick up the pieces afterwards. With the promise of near-unlimited supplies and an eventual total victory as long as they continue the war, the Ukrainians have no incentive to come to the bargaining table. I myself hope something comes of this but I won't hold my breath.

The report showed that, based on the data and documents published by Western governments and media since the very beginning of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, a large amount of US aid funds has not flown to Kiev.
>As of January 15, 2023, the total amount of US pledged aid to Ukraine reached $76.8 billion. Among the pledged assistance, military aid accounted for the largest proportion, at 46.5 billion US dollars, accounting for 61 percent. Part of the US military aid is financial loans for the purchase of US military products. This loan will form long-term liabilities for countries such as Ukraine, said the report.
>...humanitarian aid only accounted for the smallest proportion, at $3.9 billion, accounting for only 5 percent of the total amount. Financial aid was $26.4 billion, accounting for 34 percent. >The two main tools of the US and its allies to crush countries that dare to challenge its hegemony are its armed forces and economic sanctions. Since the end of the Cold War in 1991, the US has carried out 251 military interventions (compared with 218 operations in the 200 years prior). But together with NATO, the US has become accustomed to invading and devastating countries with little military defense capacity, such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. However, they have not been able to control these countries. Something similar occurs in the case of sanctions: more than 20 countries are currently under White House sanctions, and some of the more fragile countries have had their economies wiped out, like Venezuela, Cuba, Iraq and Zimbabwe. Though the goal of “regime change” has rarely been achieved, the result is always tragic for the people. Neither tactic has worked against Russia.

TBH, I haven't been following the military side of things all that much, just the political. I don't know for sure. From what I've been reading, the spring offensive will be their last-ditch effort. After that, there will be little left. The T-64 was the backbone of the Ukrainian Army before the war and now they've been reduced to double-digit counts. Meanwhile, the US and European NATO members are also starting to feel the pinch as well. After this, they will have no choice but to agree to a ceasefire, if only to replenish their equipment over a few years. Meanwhile, I think the Russians are going to act as an immovable wall for the Ukrainians to beat themselves against.

quite surprising, a 30-40 yo mother that wears those symbols, a lot of this stuff must be deep ingrained in the military, i wonder if maybe she doesn't know what they even mean, is there any analysis out there on the reason there's so much Nazi stuff in Ukraine's military? is it a cultural and population wide problem too or just confined to the army? does it go all the way back to the far right groups during WW2 or did something new happen in the last 80 years?

It looks like the Kakhovka dam is gone, destroyed by Ukraine.
Ukraine is employing failed KMT tactics and killing like 70% of their countryside, like the bunch of coked-up nazi fanatics they are.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/ukraine-fears-military-recruitment-crisis-in-the-war-against-russias-army

>KHARKIV OBLAST, Ukraine — When Yulia’s husband, a Ukrainian soldier fighting on the front lines against Russia’s invasion, told her that 25 men in his unit had died in a single day of fighting, she was absolutely furious.

>The Ukrainian woman—who lives in Kyiv and spoke under a pseudonym—told The Daily Beast she had seen photos of one of her colleagues sipping drinks in Berlin on social media earlier that day. They used to work at a foreign IT company together, she said, and he had illegally slipped out of the country. At that point, her rage for draft dodgers had peaked.

>In turn, the number of Ukrainian volunteers has drastically dipped, forcing the military to rely heavily on conscription. Those drafted in that process, which is opaque and seemingly random, are often inexperienced.

>In an interview with The Washington Post this spring, a Ukrainian lieutenant colonel complained that he was now leading a unit composed “entirely of inexperienced troops,” some of whom would not fire their guns because they were “afraid of the sound of the shot.”

>The Daily Beast was invited to watch a combat medic with the Ukrainian Army’s Third Tank Regiment give a crash course in battlefield medicine to a group of freshly mobilized men. The new recruits had been called up to serve in the Ukrainian army as it prepares for its long-heralded counter-offensive.

it's interesting that they lie about this particular shape of the cross having "always been in use"
it's not the currently used and distinctly since 1916
now why anyone would use a version that was used from 1916 onward into the war by the nazis is anyones guess
are they fans of the kaiser or the nazis?
surely it must be the weimar republic instead

>An essay by Graeme Gill published in the Australian journal Pearls and Irritations on August 10 helps rebut the falsehoods about Crimea’s recent history that are repeated endlessly in Western countries by corporate media and even many alternative media. Several points in the essay merit further discussion and clarification of facts. The following is a lengthy essay dedicated to just that.
https://newcoldwar.org/ukrainian-f-16-saga/
>With much propaganda and pomp, the “game changer” Western tanks and armored vehicles were introduced into the Ukrainian military and ingloriously failed during the “decisive” (and still ongoing at the time of writing) counteroffensive. It is about time to start the new Wunderwaffe saga that will turn the tide and win the war. Kiev leaders and Western sponsors together with the dilettantes and charlatan media are bragging about fighter aircraft, in particular F-16s that will “close the sky and destroy the Russian invader army”.

>The Canadian Parliament’s standing ovation for a Nazi soldier highlights deep ties to far-right Ukrainian nationalism and staunch support for NATO. The embarrassing incident could unravel the political consensus on the proxy war.

>The Ukrainian authorities even before the 2014 coup were always very wary of any referendum initiatives or even polls addressing ‘uncomfortable’ issues of language, culture, economic or social policies.
>On September 10, elections to regional and municipal assemblies were held across the Russian Federation. For the first time, they were held under Russian law in the two Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk which formally became part of the Russian Federation in February 2022. Elections also took place in the two ‘new territories’, as they are called in Russia, of the Russian-controlled parts of Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions (that is, the areas of those two regions lying south and east of the Dnieper River).

>The escalation of hostilities between the Israelis and the Palestinian people (whose historic lands the Israelis occupy) has been met with much irritation in governing circles in Ukraine. Events in and around Ukraine have dominated Western media for nearly two years, but now this has given way to the news of violent conflict by the Israelis, a satellite of the Western powers, against the Palestinian people. The conflict threatens to spread to neighboring Arab countries.
>Indeed, the Western news outlet Axios reported on October 19 that the U.S. government will divert hundreds of thousands of artillery shells destined for Ukraine to the Israelis
>When Palestine resistance forces first launched their breakout from the open-air prison of Gaza on October 7, Ukraine president Zelensky called on all Western leaders to fly to the Israeli-occupied lands to show their support.
>Like the Israeli regime in the Middle East, Ukraine has become an outpost in eastern Europe of the Western imperialist world. Since 2014, Ukraine has been used by the West to punish those who stand up to imperialist meddling or domination, such as what happened to the people of Donbass and Crimea following the 2014 coup in Ukraine.

>Kiev Attempted To Kill Dozens Of Russian Pilots With Poisoned Cake
>Last weekend, the Kiev regime attempted new terrorist attack in Russia. Ukrainian services launched an operation aimed to poison 77 Russian military pilots and their relatives.
>The incident took place during the 20th anniversary of the graduation from the Armavir Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots. In the midst of the festivities, a courier came to the restaurant and brought a large 20-kilogram cake and a box with bottles of whiskey. When the pilots tried to find out who sent the gifts to thank them, it turned out that none of their friends had sent such a surprise.
>The pilots immediately identified the courier thanks to the footage from the outdoor surveillance cameras. By that time, the young man had already managed to buy a plane ticket to urgently fly away from the Krasnodar Territory. He was detained at the Stavropol airport.
>After being detained, he confessed that a potent poison had been added to the cake and in several bottles of whiskey.

So, it's been a decade since what is now called the "Revolution of Dignity" happened on Maidan Square. Of course it is also the second anniversary of the Russo-Ukrainian war but that war was merely an escalation of a war that had been going on for eight years prior but almost nobody cared about. A decade of fascism, a decade of austerity, a decade of war. What an accomplishment. May Maidan Ukraine go out like the NATO Afghan puppet regime and the Republic of Vietnam.

He's not. The Donbass tards thought he was an American spy since a fat white Texan just sorta showed up. The current story is that he was tortured for a bit (possibly raped LMAO) and then they tried to kill him off since they made an oopsie.

IDK why people simp hard for Russia here other then le critical support meme. People point fingers at Azov but Russia has not only had PMC Wagner but there are several Russian neo-imperial groups supporting the war. But since sometimes they appeal to Soviet nostalgia people simp for them. CPRF supports the war but so does many of their ultra-nationalist groups.
